Intermediate Course 1: How To Start a Painting
In this class, you'll learn different techniques for creating an exciting and engaging beginning to an abstract painting. You'll explore the importance of mark making, discover how to create visual interest through texture, and learn how to identify and use “sweet spots” to create areas that draw the viewer’s attention. You’ll experiment with layering techniques, including collage, stencils, and a variety of tools to create unique marks and surfaces. Intermediate Course 2: Harmonizing Colors
In this class, you'll discover how every abstract painting begins with the simple elements of line, shape, and form. Through a series of fun, hands-on exercises, you'll explore a variety of line types and mark-making techniques that add movement, texture, and expression to your artwork.
