6 Beginner Course Modules

This beginner course builds your foundation in acrylic painting from the ground up. You'll start by getting to know your tools and materials, then move through the core elements of art: line, shape, form, texture, color, and value, each explored through hands-on exercises. From there you'll learn how those elements come together in composition, arranging space, color, and form to create work that feels balanced and intentional. The course closes with the practical steps of finishing a piece: labeling, varnishing, and preparing your canvas for display. By the end, you'll have the materials knowledge, foundational skills, and finishing techniques to complete acrylic paintings with confidence.

4 IntermediateĀ Course Modules

This intermediate course builds on foundational skills to help artists develop a stronger, more personal abstract painting practice. You'll learn how to begin a painting with intention through mark making, texture, and layering techniques like collage and stencils, then deepen your understanding of color by working with a mother color, color stories, and glazing to create harmony across a piece. You'll also spend time developing your own visual voice, drawing on the artists, memories, and emotions that shape your work, and apply everything you've learned to the challenge of painting on a larger scale, building bold, confident compositions on an oversized canvas.
